Hartford Public Access Television, Inc. is the non-profit organization, which manages the studio facilities of:

• Public Access Channel 5
• Educational Access Channel 19
• Government Access Channel 21

Hartford Public Access TV, Inc. provides the city of Hartford’s community, government and educational institutions free and unrestricted access to the cable television system. We define Community as residents, businesses, non-profit organizations, institutions and neighborhoods.

Our Staff
Our customized training program develops self sufficient, independent television producers and production crews and provides ongoing technical assistance and support.

Our paid professional staff is available to assist individuals and groups in achieving their training and /or production goals. Our training program and associated practical experience has provided participants with the skills to become television professionals.

We utilize the asset of 72 hours per day 7 days per week of broadcast time to air programs produced by members of Hartford’s community, government and educational institutions.

Our Guiding Principles are:

• To expand public access to the media beyond television, to radio, the recording arts and the worldwide web

• To promote Hartford’s diversity (cultural, neighborhood, business, arts, entertainment)
• Open, uncensored coverage of local, state and federal proceedings and deliberations
